Hey Everyone-
This seems like a good place to start bouncing venture ideas back and forth. You can reply to this post with a new idea, or you can also reply to another idea to give your feedback on it. We're excited to see what develops!
On-campus coffee station(s) along long morning walks to class.
The idea: Purchase a multi-mixer, get some cups and you're ready to go! In fact, a friend of mine has a multi-mixer he's looking to unload, and he's not sure what to do with it....any takers?
Global Music Jam
The idea: Reserve a local dance venue and get DJ's to each cover an hour with music from a different region of the world. DJ's bring the music, the bar brings the refreshments, and Nourish brings the people. It's awesome.
Kaplan partnership -
Emory just set up a partnership with Kaplan (test prep). It's free for us and all we have to do is host a few Kaplan events (like grad-school/med-school events), etc.. and in return they give us a free class to auction off!! The MCAT class goes for $1800 retail and she suggested starting bidding at $800 minimum. This could be a REALLY easy and quick way for chapters to raise $1000+ dollars. Check out your local Kaplan office for details.
I like the Kaplan idea because it is low cost, yet seems to raise a significant amount of money. Thanks Katherine!
Anyone else have anything that's come up in a brainstorming meeting? Even if you don't attempt a venture, feel free to share your idea(s) -- someone at another chapter may implement it!
